A great sunny day (Sunday, August 7th, 2005) at Shinias National Park, full of beautiful birds. Most of them where at lake Stomi, where water level is still quite high. Very close to the beach, 6 Ferruginous Ducks (Vulnerable species) were observed, 3 matures and 3 juveniles. Close by, there were 3 Little Grebes. A lot of Black-winged Stilts, and Little Egrets, as well as Coots. For the first time, I saw 2 Short-toed Eagles, flying together over Lake Stomi.
