Imittos Mt (Athens)

Another short afternoon walk at Imittos Mt (Athens), revealed a second nest of Roch Nuthatch. The birds were singing in a rythym whistling sound, preparing their nest for the summer. The nest is on a rocky slope over Ilioupoli, very high up, with a spectacular view of Pireaus Port and Salamina Island. Highlights of the day:
Common Kestrel (2), Eurasian Buzzard (1), Sparrowhawk (1), Chukar, Blue Rock Thrush, Rock Nuthatch (2 birds with nest), Subalpine Warbler, Northern Wheatear, Sombre Tit
