Imittos Mt in Athens hosts several species of Warblers, which can easily be observed during Spring, when singing starts. A walk around the southern part of the mountain provided some nice pics of Rueppells' Warbler, Subalpine Warbler, Common Whitethroat, as well as the first Cuckoo and Cretzschmar's Bunting of the year.
The complete bird list from today's trip:
Kestrel, Yellow-legged Gull, Collared Dove, Cuckoo, Chukar, Tree Pipit, Common Rock Thrush, Blue Rock Thrush, Black-eared Wheatear, Rock Nuthatch (heard), Short-toed Treecreeper, Common Blackbird, Blackcap, Whitethroat, Rueppell's Warbler, Sardinian Warbler, Subalpine Warbler, Sombre Tit, Great Tit, Magpie, House Sparrow, Serin, Greenfinch, Chaffinch, Cretzschmar's Bunting, Cirl Bunting
A Cuckoo is well hiden between the short pine trees
Rueppells' Warblers are everywhere!
