One has to go over rocks and through man-high vegetation in order to reach the top of Mt Pateras, but the excursion was well worth it. Together with Pavlos Andriopoulos we saw among others Chukar, Rufous-tailed Rock-trush, Northern Wheatear, Black-eared Wheatear, Subalpine Warbler, Wood Lark, and Cretzschmar's Bunting.
