Taka used to be a shallow lake near the city of Tripolis in the heart of the Peloponnese. Now, after many years of being completely dry, a reservoir was constructed for irrigation purposes. The adjacent to the reservoir areas flood every winter and spring and become perfect habitats for many migrating waders. In summer all has dried up, however the area still holds a great variety of farmland and woodland birds. In a very quick trip, this Sparrowhawk was being harassed by one of the dozens of Hooded Crows of the site.
