Bird of Prey Heaven

Few places in Greece are so rich in raptors as the Dadia Forest in Evros. Even during the hot summer months one can enjoy bird-of-prey-watching.

The Lesser Spotted Eagle is a scarce summer visitor in Greece. Dadia Forest is one of the best places to see this medium-sized Eagle.

The Egyptian Vulture has become increasingly rare nowadays. Still, Dadia Forest still provides food and shelter for this vulture.

The Black Kite, despite being very common and widespread in many parts of the world, is very rare and local in Greece - especially in the summer -. The hills south of Dadia, and especially the area near Feres town, is the best place to look for them!
